Hi Soul Friend and welcome to Soul Reign. The sacred text above beautifully depicts my journey to and with art. In a time of trauma and heartache, God used art to allure me into a sacred and safe space to heal my heart and empower my Soul to Reign. There in the marks I was able to express the fullness of my emotions and create something beautiful out of pain and mess. Each creation became a dance with Our Creator and a beautiful step on the journey of emotional, spiritual and cultural healing. Art was more than paint on paper, it was and is a place of communion, creation and ministry.

I’m Rachel Juanita (Wan-Knee-Ta), mixed media artist, leadership and life coach and minister. I help creative souls develop art as a spiritual practice/discipline and create art that heals hearts and empowers Souls to Reign.

FUN FACTS

Graduated from the United States Military Academy at West Point in 1997. In a class of about 1000 graduates, I was one of 8 African American Women graduates.

Married to my best friend for over 20 years and we have five children.

If I could only eat one food for the rest of my life it would be Queso!

My husband and I are both fourth generation Veterans! And our oldest son is continuing the legacy (5th generation)

My MOM is AMAZING! And I owe everything to her and how she loved and raised me! She always believed in me and challenged me to ask the question, “Why not me?”
